Updating the past year!

So since I havent updated in over a year, I guess this will be one very long blog! Im going to go over a little here and there of what our year was like!

This is Beau and Briley being very nice to each other (very rare) at Fossil Rim. This was Beau's 2nd time to go and Briley's 1st! They had a blast. Hopefully we can go back again real soon. Oh well this is our Miss Priss at Easter. Every Easter we go to both of Justin's grandparents. This was at his moms parents. The thought she owned the place and was a fashion super star.

My Sweet Handsome Young Man at Easter!

Just a picture of Justin and I. We rarely take picures, and Im sure by Justins face you can tell why. What a party pooper!

Briley turned 2 years old in April. This was a difficult month for us, or should I say January through April was tough. Briley started getting really sick with high fever. We took her to about 4 different Doctors before 1 finally figured it out. She ran 102 fever consitantly for about 6 weeks. They thought she had the flu at one point and put her on tami flu and that only made her sicker. Finally out life savor Doctor (that we are still using) found out she has kidney reflux and had a bladder and kidney infection. So for the past year she has been on antibotics and we will repeat the precedure in April 2011 to see if she has out grown this or will have to take the next step.

Oh heres my handsome 5 year old! Happy 5th Bday Buddy. Your growing up wayyyyy to fast.
ZOO day! This was in June. I had found out in May that I had a tumor in my thyroid that needed to be taken out. So in June I went thru a surgery that remove just half of my thyroid. Right before this Justin and I wanted to do something fun with the kids so we went to the Waco Zoo. Its very nice and about half the size of Ft Worth so its perfect for us. I am really thinking this summer we will be making the trip to Ft Worth though. My surgery went well, but only to find out that in October I would need the other side taken out. I went throught that with no problems and am hopefully back on track with my levels.

This is Justin and I and Beau and his cousin Preslee. Dairy Max is an amazing company that works with Dairy Producers in our area to promote out milk and other products. The always have events and promotion things they are sending us too. This is a Rangers game, were Justin and I were recongnized. It was a lot of fun. VERY VERY HOT but a lot of fun. Also with Dairy Max I have done some Radio Ads about what Dairy Farmers can provide, we also did a TV show called American Dairy, and last but not least the Fuel Up to Play 60! This is a program that promotes fueling up with all your milk and veggies and going out and getting 60 mins of exercise everyday. They are teamed up with the NFL and are hitting schools all around to help out kids live a better life style.

4th of July!

These 2 above pictures were of out trip to Lake Buchanan. We went and stayed in a cabin for 3 nights. We took the kids to the Long Horn Caverns, fished, and swam. We had so much fun that the next month we bought us a boat of our own. We had so much fun the last month of summer and CANT wait till this summer. Both kids birthday partys will be at a lake that right by us and have already book a trip to go back to Lake Buchannan the weekend that school gets out.

This picture breaks my heart. This is Beau's 1st day of school. He has grown up so fast and into such a sweet, loving, and caring little boy. He has done great all year and loves school, his teacher, and all his new friends. We are so very proud of him.

My RUGRATS on Halloween!
(My 2nd thyroid surgery was 4 days before Halloween, I was so worried I would miss out, but the kids did great and I tagged along...slowly)

Briley and Beau at Christmas with Santa. I was so afraid that Briley would not like him this year! OH BOY was I wrong......As soon as he walked in her face light up and she said Santa..... do you have your HO HO. Needless to say it was a great Christmas with both kids.
Well that took you through out year of ups and downs. No matter what happens we will always have the 4 of us and thats all that matters. Both kids are growing stronger everyday, the find new discoveries. They love each other and hate each other on days, but I know in the end they will be closer then ever as they continue through life. Justin and I are so busy these days, he is on the VFD here and still on the dairy working non stop, I am still selling insurance and also on the PTO and we are both helping with the Texas Steak Cook off again this year. We hope that this year wont be as hectic with medical issues and we can settle into a nice long and full of lake time summer. I plan on updating more often and hopefully get better and better at this blogging. Until next time, love from the Broumleys!
