Sick Kiddo and Laundry Days

So no pictures for this blog, but I need to write. We had a great weekend it started it off with our Friday family trip to the grocery store and a good old CiCi's trip. We have been trying really hard to cut back on our eating out so this works out well. We had bought a discount card for $10 from our local football kids, with this if you buy an adult dinner you get a kids one free and then Briley eats free since she is under 4 and then I usually just eat a salad so thats only $3.99. Our total bill is under $15 for all 4 of us. The kids like it cause we will take some quarters we have around the house and let them play a couple of games or get some prizes. Also out HEB trips are hectic, but I have been couponing and this time I saved $58.02 and I didnt buy one thing that we dont use or get everytime. They say thats the one rule to always follow. Im not interested in stocking up, just saving when I can. On to Saturday, this was a GREAT day. Briley went to spend a couple of hours with my mom while I meet up with 2 of my best friends from highschool. This was a WELL needed day. We went to lunch and it was just like we had seen each other the night before. I love those girls. 5 years of not seeing each other and it was just the same. I am very thankful to know that I have a friendship with them that after all these years is still the same. We went through hell in back in highschool with each other and I think we will always be there for each other. After that Briley and I hooked it back to Hico for our camping trip with some friends. This was great the kids had a blast and the parents just hung out. It was good all till about 9pm when Briley told me she wanted to go home, I felt her and she had fever. She ran 104 all night so Sunday after lunch when it was still 104 I took her to the ER and what not she had the flu. Im really thinking that this family has a Welcom Flu sign posted on us. UGH So that being the case Monday and Tuesday I stayed home with her. She is much better tonight and tomorrow she is going back to school and Im heading back to the office. These last couple days I did catch up on laundry and really enjoyed having the house all picked up and dinner ready for when Justin got home. We of course arent as rushed so that makes it nice. We have dinner, homework time, bath, a snack, then some play time or tv time before bed. (in my case its my blogging time) So another thought thats been on my mind while being at home these last 2 days I how much money we waste. Its terrible. So I have looked at some budget programs and going to get started with one. Im not sure which one so if you have any suggestions please share. What my goal is going to be is within 6 to 8 months have EVERYTHING paid off. Its very possible. Once its all done its crazy how much we can be saving. I never realized just how much money we waste. We have always been truly blessed to not have to do without and we pretty much go and do as we please. This is all about to change. We will still have some play money to keep out sanity. Just like the savings at HEB of $58.02 I told you about, well Im going to write that amount in a check and send off to pay a bill. Im pretty excited about my new motivation. Of course in end we will be the winners still, but there is a little bit of motivation that I cant share just yet. lol Until next time, be safe and hug the ones you love and make sure you tell them.

My Blog's Purpose

So I started blogging so I would have a place to tell my story. I know I have friends to tell it to and they will listen, but its really nice to just type away and to even go back and read what we were up to thoughout the months. So that being said here is my story for today and whats going on this weekend in the Broumely house! So today I figured out how to change my background, of course Im sure I will change it a million times before I fall in love with one. I also added a playlist. Right now if only included Jack Johnson. I enjoy his music and how each song can relate to some part of my life, rather past, present, or the future. I wish I could figure out how to search for different blogs by peoples name and not the url. Im sure it will come. So its Friday and the end of Spring break. Beau has spent all week with his Dad, my mom, and today Justin's parents, so he wont be ready for school next week. Justin parents took both my kids to see Rango today!! I hope Briley Bug sat through it. They are also keeping the kids tonight for Justin and I. What to do what to do???? I want to go finish laundry, eat, rent a movie, and go to bed early, but Justin wants to go do something. Humm..... Im sure we will agree on something. Saturday we have a wedding to go to and afterwards we got to get Beau all his new Tball stuff. I am coaching his team this year and I am SUPER excited. That all starts next week. Sunday Justin is going to take the boat to the lake and do some fishing. He will also make sure everything is in full go mode for the first day we can all get to the lake. We cant wait!!!! I started to planning my kiddos bday party! Whoooo of course its going to be at the lake and we are going to do them together this year!!!!

On the Dairy Farm

As most of you know we have a Dairy Farm here in Hico. My father in law and his Dad started it in 1981 so its been in business for 30 years. We currently milk Jersey cows (the blue bell cow Elsie) and really enjoy them. Up intill 2004 they milked Holsteins, but went through a TB scare and every cow had to be put down only to find after all test were ran that it was a false negative. This was a HUGE blow, but my father in law has a VERY good head on his sholders and not only made great decisions, but also kept his spirits up and kept on keeping on. lol Anyways a Dairy Farm is an amazing place to raise a family. My kids enjoy everything about it, rather it been going to work with dad or poppa, or feeding the baby cows, or even Brileys favorite riding in the tractor on the buddy seat. So I decided to post some pictures of the kids (that were taken last summer) with the baby calves and their poppa.

This is Beau's gator. He got this Christmas when he was 2, it took a while for him to learn how to drive, but he got it down fast. Briley always asked when she was littler to go for a ride in bubba gatoraid. It was so cute. She now has a pink barbie jeep that she likes, but its not as good as the gator.

Beau and Briley with a baby calf. Note the tongue coming out the window. lol

My daughter that has a Princess attitude about everything like shoes and her clothes is the BIGGEST tom boy EVER! She loves to be outside, to touch bugs and animals, and when we go to the lake once she has her life jacket on she is gone, jumping off the boat and riding in the tube with no help. Neither on of my kids have made an ER trip due to a injury, but I have a feeling she will be the one if it happens.

This is my wonderful father in law Keith AKA Poppa to the kids. They look up to him so much. He is the sweetest most compasioniate man ever. He is willing to talk to anyone and everyone who comes to the dairy and will show them around everywhere. He gets up before dawn and works way past dark. He is the reason my family has EVERYTHING we do. I know that my husband will follow in his footsteps and I hope my kids do too. Im so glad he is willing to take the time to spend with my kids so they can have great memories of their Poppa.

Mr. Beau!!

So pretty much thats just my kids at the dairy with the baby calves, but you get the idea. Hopefully this summer I can post a lot more about the dairy and more pictures.
