Sea world

Our first real Family Vacation took place labor day weekend of 2011. We were all very excited to be going to sea world. (I think I was more excited than anyone, thats the wanna be marine biologist in me) Anyways we went down on a Friday as soon as school let out. Our kids LOVE hotels. They always ask if we can just go to a hotel for a road trip. I used to think it was cause they had a pool, but this time we didnt have anytime to enjoy the pool. When we drive by certain hotels Briley will say mom we lived there for a week before. lol Silly girl.

We got up early and had breakfast and loaded up the car. This was the begining of the day and I still heard mom do we have to take pictures. Geez kids let me have something to remember the moment. When we printed all the pictures Justin said I took more of the animals then the kids and I said it was cause the animals didnt complain. lol

Wil waiting to get in these cool guys gave us time to take pictures. Beau was so excited, but Briley said no way. (she would soon warm up to this)

My 2 boys waiting on Shamu!

Me and my Princess. She didnt want to wait very long, she knew there was a lot of stuff to see.

This isnt a good picture, but one of my favorites. Beau told everyone the he was going to ride Shamu and he would jump over someone while riding on his back. He never mentioned this while we were actually there. Im thinking he realized how large Shamu was and changes his mind. Anyways this just show the biggest smile of the day. It was right when Shamu jumped out of the water. It was worth the drive and every penny to see him smile so much.

Briley warmed up. This was while eating lunch. She even wanted to dance on stage with all these little characters.

We went to 2 Shamu shows. This was at the 2nd one. The first one was called off after about 10 mins into it cause the whales started fighting. Justin and I were both shocked and were like wow did that really happen. Anyways we went back towards the end of the day and had awesome seats again. We got wet and I mean REALLY wet. The look on the kids faces was GREAT! Briley still will tell you when you ask her about Sea World, she says it was cold, wet and salty. lol

So Justin and I are roller coaster junkies. So this being said were kinda bummed we couldnt ride any of the big rides. (he would of gone without me, but Im too chicken to do it without him) Anyways there is a ride that we could all do on and of course we were going to go. This was the kids right before we got on.

Proof the my kids did this.

This was us at the top of the roller coaster. I wish I could of taken a picture of the kids faces. I think we would of won Americas Funniest Videos. In the middle of it I looked at Justin and said, Are we bad parents for making our kids ride this. lol we both just laughed.

This is a picture of the last hill you go down before you splash into the water. It was very fun and both kids are going to take after us and be thrill seekers!!!!!

We ended the night with fire works and it was the best show ever. I was very suprised that we all lasted from open to close. Beau also did some of the big water park and did slides that I wont do. (Im a huge roller coaster fan, but when it comes to water slide....IM OUT) Anyways he did them with Justin while Briley and I chilled in the kiddie pool area. Over all it was a great first family vacation and if our family stays the size it is cant wait to travel somewhere a little further and more adventorous next summer.

First Day of 1st Grade

So my little (big) guy started 1st grade this year. He was very excited and so was mommy, but I was also a little sad. Im very proud of everything that he has acomplished, but he growing up and it seems like we just brought him home from the hospital yesterday. Over the summer the kids are offered to buy a summer work book to help them stay up with what they learned the previous year. If the kids finish this and bring it back to school the first week they get a reward and also get to go on a extra fun day trip. This year they went to the bounce house and he had an awesome time. I am amazed at how much he has learned how to read. They read books and take test over them, right now he is working on reading the book and then reading the questions and the answers and processing it correctly to get the question right. Im amazed as I watch his mind work when he does all this.

This is a picture I snapped right before we ran out the door. Of course mom wanted to walk him in and stay and watch, and Beau let me, but made it very clear that he didnt need me there. I cry thinking about the day when he says bye mom and gets in his own truck and drives to school. Sad day, but I just hope we've raised him with a confident and string mind and he knows what is right.

Love to my little man!
